The young UK singer-songwriter Douglas Dare has released his newest album Aforger on the renowned experimental label Erased Tapes. The second track on the record “Greenhouse” is a viscerally moving piece of music, with some serious Radiohead vibes in its twitchy percussion, effortless vocal runs and soft electronic chord progressions.

Dare uses his voice as an impressive melodic tool, but the layering is never overdone and the spacious mix draws your attention to every instrument and layer as it enters and exits the song. Towards the end of the song the true power of the composition shines as you’re swept up by the rise and fall of the his voice and its tragic echoing into eternity.
